Publishing Scores

Publishing scores allows students to see how they did on an assignment and to see the correct answers to questions they got wrong. You can either Publish Scores manually from the Performance page or the Assignments page in the Instructor Portal. Alternatively, you can set a date and time when scores will automatically be published. The default is to publish manually.

Once scores are published, students are no longer able to submit answers to questions. This measure prevents students from using the information in the published scores to continue answering Graded Questions until they get them all correct. You can, however, Unpublish Scores to allow the whole class to continue to submit answers, or you can flag certain students' accounts to allow late submission.

You have two options for publishing scores:

Publishing Scores Manually

When creating your assignments, the Publish Scores option defaults to Manually. After the Due Date for the assignment has passed, an orange Publish Scores Now button will appear next to that Assignment on the Performance page and in the Assignment listing on the Assignments page. Clicking that button will publish the scores immediately.

Publishing Scores Automatically

If you choose to Publish Scores for an Assignment at a preset time, you indicate that choice in the Assignments section of the Instructor Portal. You will select the date and time you want to Publish Scores for that Assignment. Please refer to the article Setting Publish Score Dates for instructions.
